I'm Lauren McDowell, the face behind Branded Filly Leather Co. I am a wife, mom of two boys and a registered nurse. I was raised in Southwest Missouri on my family’s century farm. I grew up with horses, cattle and learned lots about the work ethic that lifestyle requires from you.

I started perusing leather work during my senior year of high school. I competed in rodeos and found an interest in being able to create my own leather tack and accessories. Low and behold, this self taught hobby turned into a little business that put me through college. 

I have done leatherwork since 2016 and I find that I continue to learn in grow in this trade every day. Practice makes perfect!
